Toastmasters Teams Design Kits to Benefit Local Nonprofits

Volunteers, Creativity, and a Little Healthy Competition
What do you get when you combine corporate volunteers, a box of glue sticks, and a Toastmasters group? Apparently—pure magic.
In a creative twist on traditional team-building, JM Family’s Toastmasters group hosted Just Add Creative at their Deerfield Beach headquarters for a one-hour craft kit prototyping challenge. Volunteers were divided into four teams and given a spread of typical Just Add Creative materials. Their mission: invent a brand-new craft kit from scratch.
Each team not only had to design a prototype, but also deliver a Toastmasters-style presentation explaining:
Who the kit was for
Why we should create it
How it could be mass-produced for widespread distribution
The results? Seriously impressive.

After the presentations, the teams voted.🥇 Winner: The Rocketship Kit🥈 Runner-Up: The Zoo Animal Kit
The winning team will receive a custom trophy, but here's the best part: every single kit was so good that Just Add Creative will be mass-producing all four.
At a future date, JM Family volunteers will gather again—this time to assemble the kits at their HQ. The finished kits will then be donated to a charity of JM Family’s choice, who will distribute them to the populations they serve.
This collaboration between JM Family, Just Add Creative, and a future nonprofit partner was a smashing success, blending public speaking, creativity, and hands-on impact into one unforgettable afternoon.
